Installing the Sylvania LED Recessed Lighting Kit is as easy as screwing in a light bulb. It only takes about 2 minutes. First, make sure the power is turned off by disconnecting the power at the fuse or circuit breaker. Then make sure the existing lighting housing is compatible with the Sylvania LED Lighting Kit. Remove the existing trim and light bulb from the housing. Then measure the diameter and recessed housing depth. This should be, at a minimum 5 3/4" wide, and at a maximum 6 1/2" wide and deep. If you have a free hanging socket in your recessed housing, you are ready to go. In some cases, it might be necessary to remove the socket mounting plate for adequate clearance.
